The network Maid

Maid claims to be the internet of tomorrow by offering a global network independent of the data. Your content becomes accessible from any device, from anywhere, in the way of Google Drive. The only difference is that it is only accessible by you. All your data is secured and can not be accessed by any third party, any potential hacker, any governmental institution.

All data is secured by an asymmetric cryptography. The user can choose the type of access for each of its content (private or public) and will be able to access peer-to-peer. Maid is also a guarantee of the total confidentiality : all of your traces are completely erased.

The technology of Maid

The network Maid passes by a protocol peer-to-peer but does not correspond to a blockchain in the traditional sense of the term. That is to say that it has no operations to save and validate, by consensus.

The control of our data

MaidSafe intends to give to each individual the full control of its data. When we store our data on a centralized server, they are likely to be read and consulted. On the network Maid, the data belong to the users, they are not stored on a central server.

The operation of MaidSafe

Just install the software to MaidSafe and create a user account. When one stores a file on the network, the document is encrypted and split and then distributed randomly to the other clients. Each member backs up the fragments received in a “safety deposit box”, called “vault” and will never be able to access your content, or even find out who owns the data that it stores.
