We learn today that Yahoo ! could launch themselves in the adventure of the crypto-currency launching soon a platform for exchange. This is its japanese subsidiary which is concerned by this news.
A thoughtful decision
The journal of japanese Nikkei is out of the silence these last few days to announce a new one that could well change, in part, the future of Bitcoin and other crypto-currencies. In fact, it seems that the giant Yahoo ! is currently working to put in place a new platform for the exchange of digital assets. This platform would be launched by the japanese subsidiary of the company and could be operational in April 2019.

It would appear that Yahoo ! Japan is on the point to buy back 40% of the units of the platform BitARG Exchange Tokyo. The newspaper explained that the purchase of shares of BitARG would be carried out through the company’s tokyo YJFX, a subsidiary of Yahoo ! which provides services in international transactions. This participation would cost approximately 15 million euros at Yahoo !
A clear objective
Yahoo ! therefore, could soon join the large ecosystem japanese in the closed world of crypto-currencies. There are currently 16 platforms for the exchange of legally permissible : however, last December, the FAS (Financial Services Authority) has granted a license to BitARG Exchange Tokyo. So Yahoo ! implementation on a platform that already has permission to operate, which is rather clever on the part of the giant.

For the moment, this information is to be taken with a grain of salt, because the redemption is not official. Yahoo ! did not want to confirm or not this new at the current time. But if it was indeed true, the situation could change. And, most importantly, it seems that such an investment proves that the future of the crypto-currency is far from being as black as some predict. To follow !
